Monday - We went to the Forbidden Caverns, the Deer Farm Exotic Petting Zoo, took a 60 mile helicopter tour of some of the Smoky Mountains and surrounding areas, did some shopping, and went to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner Show. Tuesday - We spent the entire day at Dollywood, and ate dinner with friends and family also vacationing in the area as well.
Wednesday - We went to the Smoky Mountain National Park for some exploring, which included a 3 1/2 mile hike up a mountain to Laurel Falls. We then went into Gatlinburg for some shopping and had lunch at Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant, one of our new favorites. After another quick trip into the Smoky Mountain National Park, we went to the Louise Mandrell Theater for a show that evening.
Thursday - We started the day with the hot tub and a little dip in the pool, before going to the Applewood Farmhouse Grill in Pigeon Forge for breakfast. We did some shopping at the stores there, and headed into Gatlinburg for Ripley's 4-D motion theater shows, their Believe It Or Not - "You actually paid for this" museum, and the very nice Ripley's Aquarium. Then we rode the sky lift to the top of the mountain, before heading into the Smoky Mountain National Park once more. There, we found a nice stretch of cold mountain river to kick off the shoes and play around in for a while. We finished the evening off with dinner at Damon's Grill, which had a great hillside view of Pigeon Forge, and a couple of horses in the pasture below.
